Sarah Van
Sarah serves as Senior Partner for our Executive Search and Mergers and Acquisitions division. Known for her highly consultative and partnership approach, she has built long-term relationships with a broad array of clients, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups. Sarah’s practice spans a variety of industries, with a particular emphasis in engineering, technology, and professional services sectors. As a generalist, she has expertise across functional disciplines, including but not limited to, human resources, I/T, operations, marketing and sales.
A true executive, Sarah brings over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources, Operations, and Administration. She has helped a variety of businesses recruit and develop HR systems and programs that promote employee engagement and business growth.
Sarah was President of Management Fundamentals Inc., specializing in helping new high-tech companies grow their business through recruitment of key personnel. Additionally Sarah has taken on organizational structure and recruitment projects from assistance in designing the organization and developing position descriptions to assist in matching the business need with the appropriate “C” level professional meeting the position criteria as well as fit within the culture of the organization
Sarah works at all levels of the organization, from the Board to the floor, helping clients with career planning, leadership development, employee engagement, and change management. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, software development organizations, highly technical remediation and organizations such as legal and many entrepreneurial, and privately held companies.
Prior to consulting, Sarah served in leadership positions with several companies in the Triangle area. As VP and General Manager of Triangle Laboratories, she was responsible for management of environmental and pharmaceutical laboratories. As Director of Administration of Dancik International, she was involved in sales and marketing, operations, quality assurance and administration.
Community Involvement:
Sarah has been active in community service throughout her career. She served on Governor Hunt’s Work Force Preparedness Commission, the Triangle Partnership Teacher Institute Committee, and has been a board member with REAL Enterprises and Life Experiences. Additionally she taught Human Resources Management at William Peace University.
